NeuroMirror

A four-channel EEG
neurofeedback workbench

NeXus NeuroMirror turns a raw BioTrace+ EDF/EDF+ export into a clear, reproducible diagnostic — a montage, a blockwise closed-loop workflow, and a verifier you can trust. Offline-first by design.

01

Record

Capture a four-channel block in BioTrace+ on the NeXus-10 amplifier.

02

Verify

Export to EDF/EDF+ and run the verifier — channels, sample rate, RMS, markers.

03

Adapt

Analyze between blocks and feed updated parameters into the next recording.

Initial four-channel montage

Reference: linked ears / mastoids (A1+A2), identical across every session. Ground: manufacturer-approved placement only. The montage is a hard constraint — not a limitation to hide.

FzMidline frontal — attention, frontal theta, executive control
FCzFronto-central — sensorimotor / error-related activity
PzMidline parietal — P300, alpha, attention allocation
OzMidline occipital — visual alpha (eyes open/closed contrast)

Fixed four-channel montage

Fz, FCz, Pz, Oz referenced to linked ears. A deliberate, honest constraint on spatial inference.

Diagnostic verifier

EDF/EDF+ in, a machine-readable diagnostic.json plus trace, PSD and marker figures out. Diagnostics only.

Offline-first, blockwise

No real-time SDK is assumed. Adaptation happens between blocks, with a clean path to a future real-time seam.

Research seam

A separate experiment scaffold and NeuralSet spec sit downstream — never in the verifier or web request path.

Research prototype — not a medical device

NeuroMirror is a research/educational prototype. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and it makes no clinical claims. Use only on yourself or consenting research participants under an appropriate protocol, and always follow the manufacturer's documentation for hardware operation, electrode application, reference, and ground placement.
